About us
We are a live in Rehabilitation Clinic, Shelter and Adoption Center for puppies that we have rescued from the streets and out of the deserts of Puerto Penasco, Sonora, Mexico. We offer people the opportunity to save or rescue a Mexican Street Puppy or Dog without the mess and fuss. We flea and tick dip every puppy upon intake, deworm them, then feed them. We observe them for several days to make sure they are not sick in any way. We vaccinate, spay or neuter them (when they are old enough), then offer them to the general public in hopes of finding them new, loving homes. It's really awesome to watch these small critters grow in our presence as we love and nourish them. Nothing compares to the tremendous feeling we get when we watch a family fall in love with a puppy that otherwise would have died. We began rescuing puppies in June of 2008. We are placing about 10 puppies and/or dogs into new, forever homes every month. We sponsored our first Spay/Neuter Clinic on August 25, 26 and 27 of 2009. Since August 2009 we have sponsored a total of 79 animals for the spay/neuter procedure. We became a Licensed Mexican Non-Profit Association October 14, 2009. Red and Terri's Puppy Rescue, A.C. is supported with donations. We can accept donations online through Google Checkout with your major credit card or with your Google Account, at the shelter or through the mail (please see 'Donations'). If you are coming to Puerto Penasco, Mexico and would like to bring us supplies and are not sure what to bring, please go to our "Wishlist" page for ideas. All donations are tax deductible as we are a Licensed Mexican Non Profit Association, also known as an Asociacion Civil. Yes, we have a few animals that we fell in love with, bonded with and have made them apart of our permanent family. We have Frankie and Millie (Chihuahua's), Poppi and Bella (Xoloitzcuintli's) and our Rescue Kitty "Mariposa". There is a story behind each decision to keep each animal. All of them are spayed or neutered and fully vaccinated (of course).
